Ferret Shampoos
Bathing your ferret doesn't have to be an ordeal. Make sure you use warm water (remember that a ferret's normal body temperature is 102 degrees) and that you support her completely while she's in the water. If your ferret feels secure, she's likely to tolerate the bath better.
Bathing your ferret too often can make her have a stronger odor. Once a month is fine. Less often is better. Always use a shampoo made for ferrets, though you can use a shampoo that is safe for kittens in a pinch.
Fleas can be a serious matter for your ferret. Left untreated, fleas can cause your ferret to become anemic. Bathing with a ferret-specific flea and tick shampoo or using a ferret-specific flea mousse or spray can help you get rid of the pests before they make your ferret sick.
